MY STORY
I’m Junjin, but most people call me Jun! I study User Experience Design at the University of Michigan, with minors in Business and Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence.
I'm proud to be born and raised in Queens, New York, the most diverse neighborhood in the world. Each street is full of so much language, art, and culture.
I spent my childhood expressing emotion through art. In high school, I discovered a love for technology and human psychology, but I missed the artistic creativity that defined my upbringing. UX became the bridge, as my designs reflect the cultural richness of human experience I was surrounded by growing up.

COURSEWORK
Information Studies
This course explored how information is created, structured, and experienced in digital environments, providing a foundation for understanding user interaction, digital culture, and networked technologies. It introduced core concepts that shape how people engage with information systems, laying the groundwork for UX design and information architecture.
Software Development
This course built my core programming and software development skills with a focus on data-driven applications. I learned fundamentals like data structures, debugging, version control, and pattern matching while developing programs that gather, manipulate, and process real-world data for practical use in UX and information systems.
UX Design
This course introduced the core principles of UX design, emphasizing visual design, interaction design, and human-centered thinking. Through hands-on projects, I learned to apply empathy and creativity to build intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences, forming the foundation for advanced UX design and research.
Statistics with Python
This course built foundational skills in statistical analysis using Python, with a focus on applying data to inform UX research and information design. I explored probability, hypothesis testing, and data visualization through real-world datasets, developing the ability to make data-driven decisions in user-centered contexts.
Human Computer Interaction
This course focused on designing intuitive interfaces by understanding the psychological, social, and technical factors that shape user experience. Through hands-on projects, I researched, designed, and evaluated interactive systems, strengthening my ability to create user-centered digital products.
Online Community Design
This course examined how digital communities form, engage, and sustain interaction over time through online platforms. I learned the social, technical, and behavioral factors that shape user participation and community design, gaining insights applicable to designing interactive and socially driven digital experiences.
